Now Is the Time to Move
Get up and get motivated. Do not wait. Now is the time. Too often, we delay what we can do today, telling ourselves we will start tomorrow. We wait until we have more money, more support, more clarity, or the “right” people beside us. But Scripture reminds us, “Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth” (Proverbs 27:1, KJV).
Time does not wait for anyone. While there is “a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1, KJV), there are moments when God calls us to move, not when everything is perfect, but when faith is required. Faith often demands action before comfort, clarity, or certainty appears. “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7, KJV).
Many people delay becoming who God has called them to be because they are waiting for the perfect moment. The truth is, the “perfect time” rarely comes. Life will always present obstacles, interruptions, and excuses. Jesus reminds us of the urgency of obedience when He says, “Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead” (Matthew 8:22, KJV). In other words, do not let delay keep you from your calling.
The grave is filled with unrealized potential, dreams postponed, obedience delayed, and purpose left unfulfilled. God has placed something inside of you that requires movement. “Faith, if it hath not works, is dead” (James 2:17, KJV). Action activates faith.
If there are habits you need to release, release them. “Lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us” (Hebrews 12:1, KJV). If there are skills you need to learn, begin now. If there is a step God has been prompting you to take, take it. Dare to do what feels impossible, knowing that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26, KJV).
Stop waiting. Start moving. Obedience today opens the door for what God wants to do tomorrow.
